Design competition for a high density, large scale residential development with commercial areas on ground level and underground parking located in the urban center of Bayamon. Over 200 apartment units are arranged within four separate buildings, arranged around two interior semi public courtyards. A monumental "urban pergola" interconnects both interior courtyards while also serves as the gateway to a central public plaza. The result is an array of transitional urban spaces which display different degrees of containment and privacy, which conform an underlying continuum for the whole architectural composition.
